Where to begin... Sini’s Workaway was a little slice of Finnish heaven. The three weeks we spent on Linvonsaari with Sini fulfilled our expectations and beyond, even more so as it was our first Workaway! We helped with a whole variety of jobs including clay work, cabinet building, moss collecting, glass cutting, jam making, gardening, cleaning and cooking. Aside from the work, Sini is an absolute pleasure to be around. She is trusting and patient when assigning tasks and so kind, open and welcoming with her home and personal project. We have been totally inspired by your determination and vision for your future home and can’t wait to begin our own project one day! Thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of Finland with us and for providing a place to slow down and take a break from our travels. We can’t wait to visit you again! Best wishes and more!!

It was a great honor to spend my time (nearly a month) with Sini helping her at Loitsukallio. She has a beautiful vision for the future and I am happy to have played even a small part in its realization. I had many great discussions with Sini and Eetu about philosophy, spirituality, and nature and through this course feel I have made lifelong friends. I have no doubt I will visit them again. They have helped me break out of my shell in certain regards, as they introduced me to interesting things I have never tried before: traditional Finnish sauna, morning Yoga, Sydänpiiri, and even simple things like the zen of eating black watermelon seeds instead of spitting them out. I feel my time there has helped me grow and has changed me as a person for the better and will remember this month for a lifetime. Already, tales of the kind people of Livonsaari have reach the ears of my friends in the United States. Sini and Eetu, my home will always be open to you.
